As far as SA births go there is an Edith Sophia GLASSETT d/o James Glassett b 1866. With the marriage name and birth name both being the same it probably rules her out as being a Glasson. You may well find that is the case with Glassenbury and Glass. I cant find their births in SA nor any of the other Glassons on the list.

Rita daughter of George Henry Glasson and Elizabeth Ann Andrewartha Minnie - daughter of Thomas Glasson and Lavinia Lukey GLASSETT - Edie Sophia born abt 1866 d/o James married George Smith 1889 (18 April) GLASSENBURY - Mary Ann born abt 1873 d/o James married William Beames in 1891 (4 April) GLASS - Fanny Elizabeth born abt 1872 d/o George married William Henschke 1891 (20 May) Elizabeth daughter of John Glasson and Marion Fulcher
All three females are descendants of John Glasson and Dorothy Verrant - in my opinion.

Oops, Elizabeth Ann Glasson was born 1890 (26 Jan) not 1880 at Wallaroo Mines and is registered in SA. John G and Marrion (sic) were married PM Manse Kadina Dec 20 1884.
This may well have been mentioned in a previous thread (I havent been taking notes), but did this John arrive on the Hesperides in 1875 with mother Sophia, sister Elizabeth and brother Thomas?

John Glasson, born in 1863 at Camborne, was the son of Abel Glasson and Sophia James.

Yes that is correct although Thomas senior I believe was baptised 26th November 1815 in Crowan and married there in 1844.

finally sorted it, the parents of Thomas Senior were Thomas and Jane Goldsworthy? can find a few possible bapts for Jane Do you have a marriage date for them? Were there any other children born to them other than Thomas in 1844, freecen also has a Jane 4 and William 2. 1861 also has a Josiah and Henry born at Camborne Jane married Edwards? William married an Elizabeth? with chn Alice and Johanna in 1871 but in 1881 Alice, Annie and Robert, not found in 1891 So what happened to Josiah 1852 and Henry 1860 and was Thomas the only one who emigrated?
Birth years are from census' so not accurate.

So what happened to Josiah 1852 and Henry 1860 and was Thomas the only one who emigrated?
Found another spare one from Billion Graves site William Henry G born 18 sep 1919, died 25 sep 1994 buried Cherry Gdns Wife Iris Marguerite born 7 oct 1918 in hempstead england, died 24 oct 1991 2 children christine and jeffrey AND there is a very old headstone in the Moonta Cemetery with Edward G buried 9 june 1830. Inscription.....Edward, the beloved husband of Mary Glasson, formerly of St. Just, Cornwall, who departed this life at Moonta Mines. Aged 47 years. That wld make him born circ 1783 and in SA way before it was even a state??? It wasn't proclaimed till 1838.

I think there is an error as I have the following: Making him the son of Edward Glasson and Elizabeth Allen and the husband of Mary Rodda - married 1853 at St Just. And descendants of John Glasson and Dorothy Verrant.
