Dangerous to assume anything in this game!! Robert Glasson married Jane Cock 16th April 1818 at Kenwyn and had seven children with son Robert being baptized 3rd October 1824. This, I should think, would make him a little young (age 7!!!) to be getting married in 1833. Jane Glasson (nee Cock) of Charles Street age 43 was buried at Kenwyn 26th July 1832. Robert Glasson (now a widower) then married Patience Langworthy at Kenwyn 26th July 1833 and had a further seven children. CT

Just as a matter of interest I have 12 children to this second marriage. Robert, who married Patience in 1833 was in my opinion the son of Robert Glasson and Joan Burt, baptised February 1794 at Kenwyn, the third such Robert to be born to these parents.

CT
I have the additional children, rightly or wrongly:
Philippa (1846 - 1846) John (1847 - 1848) James (1851 - 1852) - found dead in bed without marks of violence - verdict of the Coroner Sarah Jane (1853) James (1856) - Royal Cornwall Gazette - 23rd September 1881 Glasson - Brackstone At St Phillips Church, London, September 10th, James Glasson, engineer (formerly of Truro) to Charlotte, 2nd daughter of the late George Brackstone of London.
Happy enough to reconsider any of them or provide further detail if needed.

Thanks Lannanta. I don't see baptisms for any of these in the OPC records which is probably why I don't have them. When I get a chance I will try and search through some of the PRs I have that are not yet in the OPC database.

In the 1841 census there were also John 13 and James 11. Assume ch of Robert and Jane as he didn't marry Langworthy till 1833. Any baptism details for these 2? Di

In the 1871 census Elizabeth was living with her husband John Dunn at Cragoes Court in St Clement with her two daughters Ellen (Helen) Glasson and Mary Jane (Dyer) Glasson who were both born before Elizabeth was married. This Elizabeth was baptised 24th August 1845, daughter of Robert and Patience Glasson, formerly Langworthy

I think this death was recorded in the newspaper as an accidental drowning while bathing.
