Hi Foxgrapes and welcome.
Enquiries re Curnows have been few & far between recently, and it would be good to have some more Curnow discussion!
May I say firstly, that there is some very misleading information out there on published trees for Curnows, and thus a strong likelihood that you will go down the garden path into a tangled wilderness if you consult or give cogniscence to them!
Studying all the available transcribed parish register information, censuses, wills, naming patterns etc. for yourself is the only way likely to reach the correct position – and far more satisfying, if time consuming!
Your starting point for this enquiry is the David Curnow who married Elizabeth Berriman, and it would be interesting to know if your husband is descended from them, & if so, through which of their children.
Meanwhile, using OPC and West Penwith Resources for now, we have David Curnow militiaman married Elizabeth Berriman at Towednack 26 October 1764.
www.cornwall-opc-database.org/home/west-penwith.org.uk/David & Elizabeth then baptize Elizabeth 1765, Thomas 1766, Margaret 1768, William 1770, David 1773, 2nd David 1775 and John 1778.
So the David husband of Elizabeth can't really have been buried until 1778 at the earliest, can he? Perhaps you are tired!
You are lucky you are looking at the name David, for there are not many Curnows by that name.
If you look at the baptisms on OPC for David Curnows to find out who were the potential grooms for the 1764 marriage, you will find
David 1695 Towednack son of David
David 1728 St Ives to James & Jane
David 1743 St Ives to John & Elizabeth
David 1750 St Ives to James & Jane (Should actually be 1751 if you look at the PR images available on FamilySearch
familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-22652-35708-62?cc=1769414&wc=M6NJ-MZ9:138123201,141534201,141534202#uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilysearch.org%2Frecapi%2Fsord%2Fcollection%2F1769414%2Fwaypoints)
Whilst we can never discount the possibility that there are people missing from the parish registers, or errors, we can next look to see if there were any likely burials for any of these David Curnows.
David Curnow buried 10 May 1733 Towednack, son of David. This was thus the burial of a child, not listed above. (Research has shown the name of the child buried is in fact in error, but that is a red herring here.)
David Curnow buried 23 January 1738 Towednack “the elder”. Logic suggests this would be the father at the 1695 baptism, being the elder of 2 adult David Curnows at the time of 1738.
David Curnow buried 12 July 1750 Towednack son of James & Jane – so that's the 1728 baptised David accounted for.
David Curnow buried 21 August 1774 Towednack, Senior; there was a David Curnow adult alive & burying a child in 1733 referred to above, still alive in 1738 and not buried since that date, so one would pencil him i.e. the 1695 baptism, in for this 1774 burial.
That leaves us with 2 David Curnow burials for the 2 baptisms of 1743 & 1750, & no marriage for one of them: 1782 Towednack & 1803 Towednack. You will probably want to do the research for yourself as to which one was which, including looking at wills available from Cornwall Records Office.

P.S. CT: not sure if this needs moving to a more suitable thread?
