They had one daughter, and something went wrong with the marriage-- divorce? because both Amelia and her first husband, John Edwards, remarried. (I am related to him as well on the Bartle line) His second wife was also named Amelia. Just in case there weren't already enough Amelias and Emilys in the family to confuse me.

Amelia spouse 2 of John Edwards appears to connect to the Symons family of Breage and the Blewett family of Crowan.
One big happy Cornish family!

Here's/cheers to DNA-- I have have heard from Joseph and Amelia's son Francis' family in Australia, and also confirmed a US match with oldest son Thomas' family that lines up with what I had on the paper trail. Records were slight there-- so I am really happy. That leaves me with oldest daughter Albena, namesake of my great-grandmother still missing and perhaps an extra grandchild who did not come to the US.

Information from a cousin led me to find that a part of the Sampson family went to Wales. When I started to look into it, I discovered that there is a new record set on Ancestry. Hope it is helpful: A nice surprise. Zib
