Thank you all for all the information and tips which I will follow up. I have found only one Trevaskis in the midlands telephone directory which I will follow up. I will report back when I make progress but don't hold breathe for too long!

Well done Brian! Are you able to give us some details about where this cousin fits into the work we have done? No need to give out anything about the person themselves but some details about the link to your Ford family prior to the 1911 Census would be nice. CT

I have just discovered this a few years late... one item bemuses me
posted by Brian
I met John Ford (b St Ives Oct 1912) with my Mother Evelyn Hazel Courtney/Ford (b St Ives June 1912) in the presence of my grandfather Alfred Harry Ford who acknowledged both of them as his children.
Evelyn Hazel is my mother.. she moved to Birmingham at age 6 and had 2 children. Roger John (Mason) and Brian Charles (Mason) So who are you claiming my mother as your mother.. where did you meet my mother, my grandad and John Ford?

Evelyn H COURTNEY September Qtr 1912 Mother's MN - STEVENS
this is inaccurate for my mother as she was born in June 1912
I have never known her to use the name COURTNEY, only ever maiden name FORD and married name MASON

Hi Tricycle and welcome to the site.
The 'inaccuracy' may not really be an inaccuracy. Evelyn may well have been born in June 1912 but that does not mean that her birth was registered immediately. She could have been registered in July which is the first month of the September Qtr.
You will need to discuss the other issues with Brian so hopefully he will see your post and respond soon.
