As of 1330hrs ESDT Australia FamilySearch has removed EVERY record for England and Great Britain. This equates to 67 collections including all the Cornwall PRs so I can only hope it is temporary! CT

More than two hours later and these records are still offline! And what is making me angry is the fact that I can find no way to find out why or for how long!!!! I have been searching and can find no evidence of any sort of message to suggest an outage. NOT GOOD ENOUGH FAMILYSEARCH!!!

And then I decide to use the Online Chat to try and get some answers! Go through all the damned rigmarole of name, rank and serial number followed by the category of the items I wish to enquire about. Guess what the next message is??? The interpretation is:- SORRY, BUT THERE'S NOBODY HOME. GO TO THE FOLLOWING LINK TO FIND A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO CALL WHERE YOU MIGHT GET SOME HELP OR ELSE GO TO ......... How @^%^$ useless is that!!!!

It is now four hours since my first message and .......................... BUT ONLY UP TO A POINT!On logging back in again just now I noticed that the 'Region List' had changed and on closer inspection I now find that all the UK records are now accessed via - BRITISH ISLES - which is now a separate colleciton. This is an excellent idea but I am disappointed that there appears to have been no message to indicate the change was being made. CT

Glad you stumbled on this before I did - saving me the Consternation! Notice FS is planning ahead and gone for a British Isles category, eschewing Gt Britain.... Sue
