I looked it up on Google Maps and the tiny little house at 22 Albert Street is very close to the home at 59 Trevenson. It makes sense.
It also makes sense that gmother Lillie didn't want to stay on there. How cramped they must have been in that tiny space! who knows what kind of relationship existed between her and her mother-in-law... Victoria British Columbia and a new life in Canada probably sounded pretty good around then.
So a visit to Victoria will be in the plans for next year. Lucretia Hudson... wow.
So I need to find my gfather's burial site next. I have already planned to stay at the Tyacks hotel during our trip (according to Google, it is right near both Trevenson and Albert streets plus it existed when my Dad lived there.
Also, visit Illogan (pronounced Lugan as I found), Crowan, (whatever Cargenwen is... still can't find that on a map..), need to visit a mine (near Camborne hopefully - by the way, is there any possibility of finding out at which mine my gfather worked?), then a trip out to Exeter to visit the school for the deaf (where gfather went to school). And for pure sightseeing, St. Michael's Mount, Penzance, and a bit of a walk on the Cornish Coastal Path (any suggestions as to which part of that would be closest to where my father might have been?). - By the way, I would welcome any other suggestions from those of you who know the area.
In just a few days, thanks to you here, our trip to Cornwall is starting to take shape and WILL include places of importance to me. I can't thank you enough.
