Hi all;
Silly question really but I am ignorant about the districts of Cornwall. What are the districts next to West Penwith/Penzance?
Or a link to a map which will make it clearer.
Thanks ;D

It all depends on what you mean by Districts. Lannanta has provided a link to show how the Hundreds are set up but if you are asking in relation to Civil Registration then it is a little different. The following link will take you to the GENUKI Page that gives an explanation and then provides further links to show how the Registration Districts were set up from 1837-1874 and then the current Districts. www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/Cornwall/CivilRegistration.htmlFor each Registration District there is a sketch map showing the Parishes within that district which I think is really what you are after. Thanks to both ... covered all the bases. *Ponders whether there is a Kerrier Genealogy Board ... just like this one*

Snydly - If you have a close look I think you will find that we more than cover Kerrier here on the Penwith Board. We deal a lot with Crowan, Breage, Germoe and Sithney as well as many of the Parishes on the Lizard Peninsula which includes St Keverne, Grade, Mullion and Mawgan in Meneage to name a few. And if you go to the following link it will show a map of Kerrier with a list of all the Parishes:- www.cornwall.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=14438Although beginning as a forum to discuss Penwith Parishes only it became 'Penwith' in name only after a very short time. I actual fact this really answers your original question a little better. Kerrier is the very next district to West Penwith. CT
