With regard to those 'unknown' burials at Zennor. Nicholas Christopher (Will 1717) mentions his 'brother and two sisters' (but does not name them) in his Will. It is possible that Alice Christopher (buried 26th December 1726) was one of those sisters. I only have an abstract of this Will so do not know the full context of anything therein however the information I have suggests that there is no mention of whether or not the sisters were married. If anyone has a copy of this Will (or any other Christopher Wills from Zennor) then I would very much appreciate a copy. I don't know how much further I can get with the Christopher family at the moment but I will start looking at the earlier generations to see if I can find any clues now that the 18th Century is reasonably well taken care of. I have gone further into the 19th Century now and have most of the descendants of the early Zennor families (i.e. John and Nicholas) in my database. There are some exceptions as with children of the girls but I do also have a number of those. Looking back briefly at the early part of the available records is now more interesting. If we refer back to the 1717 Will of Nicholas Christopher I think some reasonable conclusions can now be made. He mentioned, but unfortunately did not name, a brother and two sisters. It can be concluded then that the brother must be John who left his own Will in 1735 and I can say that all Christophers from Zennor seem to descend from these two brothers. In fact Nicholas only had daughters so the 'patriarch' should be considered as John and his wife Elizabeth. This now leaves the '2 sisters'. I think it must now be obvious that one of those sisters must be Alice Christopher who was buried at Zennor 26th December 1726. But I can find no record of the other and if she was living and died in Zennor then she must have been married. CT

Thanks CT for the update on the early members of the Christopher family of Zennor.
According to the IGI there were numerous Christophers baptised at nearby Gulval, Ludgvan, Madron and St. Just during the 17th century. I suppose that it is very possible that they were inter-related.

I have not yet looked at the earlier records at Gulval or Madron which seem to be the two Parishes more likely to have links. Those at Ludgvan are very early and may be more closely linked with the families at St Erth. The main part of the initial project is almost done now with just a few burials to sort out and then I might have a rest with another family for a little while. I still need to return to the Eddy family and then there are a couple of early Quicks and others. All will eventually converge into one concerted effort to try and sort out a little more of 17th Century Zennor I think. CT
