Hello Peter and welcome!
I am descended from the Nicholls and Christopher families of Zennor as follows:
John Christopher (born abt 1660; buried Zennor 22 June 1736) married Elizabeth Hollow at Zennor 6 Jan 1685/86 - I believe John was the son of a William Christopher;
Nicholas Christopher (born Zennor abt 1690; buried Zennor 19 Sep 1767) married Anne Eddy at Zennor 31 December 1726;
Nicholas Christopher (bpt Zennor 15 Jan 1736; buried Zennor 21 Jan 1811) married Charity Thomas at Zennor on 11 May 1767);
Elizabeth Christopher (baptised Zennor 27 Dec 1778; buried Madron 11 Jan 1860) married Richard NICHOLLS (bpt Madron 10 July 1768; buried Zennor 7 Mar 1851) at Zennor on 8 Aug 1801). Richard and Elizabeth farmed at Kerrow, Zennor. From the beginning of the 19th century Richard farmed at Kerrow and the Nicholls family were the most important family living there according to Jean Nankervis in her chapter 'The Hamlet of Kerrow in Zennor' in a recent publication called 'West Cornwall Homes and Households 1550 - 1950' (a publication of Penwith Local History Group).
Previously the Christopher family had farmed at Kerrow - again there is a lot of information on the Christopher family in the same chapter mentioned above.
Richard and Elizabeth NICHOLLS were my paternal 3xgreat-grandparents).
I am descended from their son William Nicholls born Zennor 10 June 1809; died Madron 21 Sep 1858 and buried Madron 25 Sep 1858) who married Catherine Thomas at St. Levan on 6 Feb 1836.
Their son Nicholas Thomas Nicholls (bpt Madron 25 Oct 1840; buried Madron 31 Jan 1900) married Mary Ann Jenkin at Madron on 26 Nov 1864.
The latters' son Walter Henry Nicholls (born Landithy, Madron 28 June 1877; died Penzance 22 Apr 1954) was my paternal grandfather and he married Fanny Nicholls (of Penzance and no relation whatsoever) at Penzance on 12 Feb 1907.
My father John Douglas Nicholls (born Penzance 3 Nov 1914; died Penzance 23 Feb 1994) married my mother Minnie Harvey of Mousehole at Penzance on 1 Jan 1944.
To return to the family of RICHARD NICHOLLS who married Elizabeth Christopher - Richard's parents were Richard Nicholls (bpt Madron 6 May 1736; buried Madron 7 Jan 1778) who married Anne Davey at Madron on 22 Aug 1760 and his paternal grandparents were Henricus (Henry) Nicholls (bpt. Gulval 25 Mar 1711; buried Madron 6 Feb 1757) and Anne Leggo who were married at Madron on 1 Nov 1733. Henricus Nicholls's direct line can be traced back to Andrei (Andrew) Nicholls (born abt 1569; buried Gulval 9 Feb 1624/25) and his wife Mary who were married in about 1595 lived at Carfury in Gulval parish.
I am sure that we can establish a common kinship. If you like, I can send you information from my personal family history records. My e-mail address is MChown@AOL.com
All the best for now,
Mary
