I've seen reference to the John son of John & Elizabeth before somewhere, but, alas, my records are somewhere amongst all the debris of a recent house move. if my memory serves me correctly I concluded that this was "another" John (Gelbart) (s/o yet another John, who married Elizabeth (?)) who was contemporary with John (Gilberd),the one who married Amy Dorman on Xmas Eve 1746. Whether John h/o Elizabeth and Thomas f/o John were brothers I have yet to discover, but that is my firm belief. I'm still lookin' but i agree that this is a frustrating web to be caught in. Hopefully I'll be able to find my records, once all the sorting out (and prerequisite decorating/gardening/renovations/modifications, you name it, etc) is finished. Kind regards, Ted

My condolences for the house move. For the record a John [ which-ever one he is] was bp 6 January 1719 in Redruth s/o John, according to Family Search. Bruce

your condolences are appreciated - I'm living in a mix of bedlam and Bierut at the moment!! My records should turn up somewhere soon and I've got a little footnote on my charts that show the Jan 1719 Bpt linked to this John. I'm sure we can sort him out one way or another between us (?!!!) Ted
