Perhaps a little premature. As of a little over two hours ago there are two people confirmed missing.

How are things now in Queensland and Victoria? Most of the news here seems to have been dominated by Egypt at the moment with a brief mention of Sri Lanka. Hope things are calming down, everyone is safe and the missing have been located.

I am not sure of the latest on missing and dead as I have not seen a lot of the news in the last few days. But I do know that there was one young couple missing, feared dead, who have turned up safe and well. We had another huge downpour here in Victoria on Friday and were kept busy here in town trying to stop floodwaters getting into houses and shops again! It does seem to have calmed down now with warm weather and sunshine returning for a while. Huge amounts of damage to vegetable and fruit crops across Victoria is going to hurt. CT

We copped the same downpour in Gippsland as you CT. I think we had about 2" in 15 minutes. Never seen so much rain in such a short time. I think we are going to get a bit more on the weekend.
