Brianterry: I can "place"every name you mention BUT they are "unresearched" by me and have been gleaned from various websites. Thomas Mitchell (var.) may have married twice, in 1746 and in 1749. "My" Grace Rodda could be "yours"...but she marr. a Tresize(var.) Grace R. may have died in Montana,1834...... ....and so on. CT may have something to say on the matter
David.

I would be hesitant in suggesting it was the son of Thomas and Ursula who married Grace Rodda in 1775. John son of Thomas and Ursula Mitchel was baptised in November 1757 at Gwinear. There is no indication of a late baptism which means he would have been only 17 when married in February 1775! Whilst perfectly legal I find this most unusual and would be looking for documented proof of the link. [quoteMary Curnow (b25 March 1708 Camborne not firm),Towednack Married John Jeffree on the 6 Jan 1728. John was my 6th great grand uncle][/quote] I can find no record of any Mary Curnow baptised at Camborne between 1706 and 1710. You then mention Towednack and I am finding this 'jump' a little strange. There is certainly no baptism for Mary Curnow at Towednack in 1708. (Parish Register for this year missing but no record in the BTs for the same year) There is, however, a baptism for that date (i.e. 25th March) in 1706 at Towednack for Mary daughter of Robert Curnow. HOWEVER - Mary daughter of Robert Curnow bp. 25th March 1706 Towednack married James QUICK at Towednack 5th December 1732. There was a Mary Curnow baptised at St Gluvias in 1710 so perhaps she may be worth investigating as the possible wife of John Jeffree? Or there was also a Mary daughter of Paul Curnow baptised at Towednack in 1704. Paul Curnow married Mary Woolcock 30th April 1701 at Towednack I am not certain where he belongs although he may have been a son of Thomas Curnow and Jone Painter. Nothing more is known of this family apart from some baptisms and burials of children. CT
