They most certainly are! Not everything for every Parish but certainly lots there to keep us occupied. But they are not searchable and you need to view the images to find what you want. CT

Many thanks Donne for the link to Family Search Cornwall Parish Registers 1538-1900 collection. I've already been able to download, save and print off several marriage records which I really wanted - and it's so much better than having to obtain the individual GRO records which now cost quite a lot!
Regards,
Mary

This seems like an opportune time to encourage people to volunteer to do a bit of transcribing of Cornwall PR images for the searchable online OPC database. Perhaps it isn't quite in the league of commiting half your wealth as billionaires to charity ;D - but heh! it's all helping others! www.cornwall-opc-database.org/contributions.phpI'm nowhere near as competent as CT and others, but if I can plod along doing my tiny bit, I'm sure some more others could too! I believe Myra - email in the link above - is currently the main contact. Like the individual parishes' OPCs' sterling work, Myra & Bill do a marvellous coordination job in getting transcribers' work onto the Cornwall database, that helps us all. And now that we can go from there to then look for approximately the right parish image on the FamilySearch site, we are the luckiest researchers into UK families out there! Sue

I agree....Just completed a transcription for Sennen and found it fascinating. Why can't Rectors write legibly or spell propper like wot I dose? Have a go, be amused, frustrated puzzled and intrigued. Tony M

These are really fantastic. But I would warn anyone to get what you want quickly. Monmouthshire records were on this site, until someone objected and then they were withdrawn.

What a timely bit of news! I couldn't find marriage of Henry Newton b. 1826 Ludgvan and Cordelia (?) on Cornwall OPC yesterday, but based on their childrens ages guessed it would be about 1850. After twenty minutes of bleary eyed searching this morning (just out of bed) found them on this new site - married Ludgvan 9 March 1850, Henry Newton and Cordelia Williams. Nice to have such an easy search, for a change ! Isambard

Roy - I think it is the site itself.
I got the message that there was a problem and had a look around.
I can tell you that none of the images will download for any Parish at the moment.
I also tried other European records with the same result.
Next step was to try records for North America and none of those will download either.
It is therefore a problem with the RecordSearch site itself.
And if you give it a minute or so when you try to download an image the message will change from 'Downloading Image' to 'Image Currently Unavailable Try Again Later'.

They seem to have re-jigged the index - I don't know whether the site maintenance caused the above problems. When I first came across it, the Cornwall images were listed under a separate item for England along with two Devon parishes. They now seem to form part of a much larger United Kingdom entry which also includes some other new records, but not for our area.
