Lannanta,
That would be:-
Eliza Quick d/o Paul and Mary
born 19th April 1825
Baptised 6th June 1825 Morrice St-Wesleyan, Devonport
The answer is that No, I do not have anything at all on this family and I am surprised that I had not picked up on them earlier given they were at St Ives.
Just for the record here:-
Factory Lane, St Ives - 1841
Catherine Quick, 20
Eliza Quick, 15
Paul Quick, 12
James Quick, 10
None of the above born in Cornwall.
Like you I am also unable to find any trace of Paul or James in 1851 or 1861.
Working from the one likely record we have (the above baptism) I can find three possible Paul Quicks in my database.
This is assuming that the family was at St Ives in 1841 because Paul was originally from Cornwall .... and we have to start somewhere!
Paul s/o Paul and Elizabeth bp. 12th June 1774 St Ives
Doubtful as he is probably one of the three buried at St Ives in 1778 and 1779.
Paul s/o Gabriel and Elizabeth bp. 16th October 1774 North Molton
He could be a possibility as we appear to know nothing more about him except that the family were back at St Ives.
Paul s/o Israel and Catherine bp. 16th September 1792 St Ives
This one would be my favourite and his father was a 'joiner' so the occupation would be fairly logical.
UH-OH!
Paul QUICK married Mary QUICK 29th June 1815 at St Ives
Remember that one?
We never have satisfactorily solved this little problem although I seem to recall that the only really likely candidate for this marriage was the son of Israel and Catherine!
I do believe we may have a solition to the problem!!
PAUL and ISRAEL Quick bp. 12th July 1823 St Ives twin sons of Paul (SHIPWRIGHT) and Mary
Paul Quick buried 23rd July 1823 St Ives age 9 days
Israel Quick buried 3rd August 1823 St Ives age 3 weeks
Remember the dilemma of the gap between the marriage in 1815 and the baptisms of these two?
And now we have a CATHERINE in 1841 whose age is recorded as 20.
She could therefore have been born anytime from 1816 to 1821 and this was the name of Paul's mother.
We have an Israel who unfortunately died young.
So the children now might look like this:-
Catherine bn. 1816-1821
Paul - 1823-1823 St Ives
Israel - 1823-1823 St Ives
Eliza bn. 1825 Devonport
Paul bn. c. 1828/9
James bn. c. 1830/1
And the possibility of other children who did not survive.
The most likely candidate for Mary (at the moment) would be the daughter of James and Martha bp. 9th December 1792 at St Ives.
In fact she is the only one in my database who could possibly have married Paul Quick.
If not solved then I think we are well on the way to the solution! ;D
CT
BTW - a look at FreeBMD offers a possibility for the death of Paul Quick.

He could have died earlier of course but worth considering.
