Hi Maggie Rae - nothing new has turned up so far that helps us identify William Hampton so if you have anything at all about the family that may help then please post it for us. Anything additional about Josiah will also be of help. It may also be worth your while to send a PM or email to Darbylee just in case he has not seen your post. To do that you just need to click on one of the two icons that you will find below his Avatar at the left of his messages. The little Envelope is the Email Icon and the other is for PM (Personal Message) CT

Hi Maggie, sorry bout my late reply as i dont get here much. thats great news about Josiah being your gg grandfather. . Josiahs daughter charlotte Hampton married John Rae in 1890 victoria. there children were Effie, John, Jessie, Mira, Jim and Fred. My nana Lill Hampton was friends with the raes. After nan passed away in 1977 i was given a tin full of newspaper clippings and some death notices mentioned James Rae, Lora, Myra and others, i still have them today. My mother was Joyce Hampton, you may have known my nan or mother.. you are welcome to contact me via email on darbyleechew@msn.com . i have a rough pic of josiah i was given many years ago from Joyce Davies, Josiah granddaughter, she was in her 90s at the time. Take care. Maggie. David Lee.

Dear Maggie, I think you might be my dad's cousin. My dad is Rae Plews. His mum was Mira Josephine Rae, married Thomas Plews. My dad and his cousin, Freddy Rae, were the spitting image of each other! My email is sharon@housden.com.au & I would love to hear from you. Regards, Sharon
