I will put this one under Hampton, since they link...
The will of Frances Kent, widow of St. Erth (1669/1670), listed brother and sisters and their children (since she died without issue)
Listed were bequests to:
Brother "Anthonie Tersise"
His daughter Johan Mitchell
His seven children
Brother "Walter Tersise"
His four children
The three children of brother "James Tersise"
'cosen' Robert Hampton
His three children
Edward Hampton, s/o said Robert Hampton
Now, Robert was the son of Frances' decd. sister Elinor Hampton, who had been married to Edward Hampton. Edward was origianlly of Lelant, but moved to St. Erth after amrrying Elinor, leaving his home place to his grown son James, whom he had by and earlier wife. James is named in Edward's will, but of course is not named in Frances' will since he was not the son of her sister, but only Elinor's stepson.
James Tresise named in Frances' will I assume to be dead, as he was left nothing, but his children were. But I could be wrong.
There was also another sister, decd. without issue, who is named as sister-in-law Anne Winch in the will of Edward Hampton (1655). (He also named Frances Kent). Anne was married to Thomas Winch.
Anthony was easy, as he lived at St. Erth, and his children were all chr. there. His marriage is recorded in 1631 to "Alice" (no surname given), but she is listed in the 1655 will of Katherine Jenkin as "daughter Alice w/o Anthony Tresise".
James and Walter proved to be elusive. I found a number of men of those names, but none seem to fit.
I will dig thru my records to see what else I have and maybe we can possibly untangle the next generation...
