I am trying to find Mary Anna or Marianna Wallis in the 1851 Census - she is not at home with her parents
In the 1871 Census after she married Henry Gartrell in 1869 - both she and Henry are not there nor can I find them in the 1881 census
Haven't found a death for Mary Anna/Marianna or Henry Gartrell before 1881 either
Explanation on not knowing the exact name spelling

No sign of Marianna after the marriage - so we must assume they emigrated. There seem to be a few Gartrells in the US 1870 but no match in 1880. There was another Henry (William Henry b Perranuthnoe 1837) who went to Australia so we mustn't confuse them. will have to keep looking.
