Well Prado ..... it seems William and Grace Uren have been hiding right under our nose!!!!
In 1891 the family was at Teetotal Street, St Ives, in 1901 they were at Back Road East, St Ives and in 1911 they were at Victoria Place, St Ives. William and Grace are both buried at Barnoon Cemetery, St Ives.
The children are as follows:-
William born 1877 or 1878 St Ives
Ann born 1879 St Ives
Grace born 13th December 1882 St Ives and baptized 23rd February 1883
Susan born 31st March 1885 St Ives and baptized 1st May 1885

All baptisms (except for William, Ann and Nancy Bryant) can be found in the OPC records.
William Uren of St Eia Street St Ives age 69, fisherman, was buried at Barnoon Cemetery 9th March 1919 (Ceremony performed by The Brethren)
Grace Uren of St Eia Street St Ives age 71, widow of Wm Uren, fisherman, was buried at Barnoon Cemetery 30th March 1924 (Ceremony performed by The Brethren)
William Uren was baptized at St Ives 21st September 1849 son of John Uren and Susan Humphreys who married at St Ives 29th October 1843
John Uren had been a difficult problem for years but I think I have a little more on him now. He was born in Liverpool about 1819 son of John Uren, mariner, and Jane Jones, a widow, who married at St Peter's, Liverpool 6th May 1815. I have not been able to find the previous marriage for Jane so don't know her maiden name and I also cannot find John or Jane in the 1841 Census.
In 1841 three of their children - John, Ann and Mary - can be found at St Ives with William and Grace Uren. In 1851 William and Grace were still at Back Road, St Ives, and with them were neiee Mary Uren and another niece (actually grand-niece) Wilmot Thomas Clark. Wilmot was the daughter of Thomas Clark and Ann Uren.
I am unable to find a marriage for William and Grace but I am now convinced that William was baptized at St Ives in 1781 to William Uren and Joan Hawes who had married at Lelant in 1778. As William was uncle to Mary and Ann Uren then his brother John will be the John Uren baptized at Lelant 9th October 1787 to William and Joan Uren.
Nothing further on the family at this stage but at least we both have a lot more than we started with!
