When he's a blacksmith's nephew. Noticed on the census that there are lads recorded as blacksmith's nephews, not always. Now according to my knowledge it was common to refer to a blacksmith's apprentice as his "nephew". Am I correct in this? Just thought I would share this because it's one of those little slippery ones that could have you going on a wild goose chase!
