From the copyhold lease that Ian quoted in the How To section:
30th Jan 1761 - at house of Richards Oats in Ludgvan We present the death of James TREWHEELA who was a life on Amyllebrea/Taylor's Tenement & the Stamps.
Who was this James Trewheela?
The only thing I can figure is that he must have been the son of William Trewhella and Jane Baragwanath and was the man who married Mary Tyack...? I have no death date for this man.

Yes, Dear Cousin - I do believe you are correct! From what I have been able to ascertain over the years this was certainly the man who married Mary Tyack at Towednack in 1728 and he was indeed the son of William Trewhella and Jane (nee Baragwanath). But it seems you have not been paying attention to things like Hoblyn's Transcript of Towednack or you would know when James was buried. The Davies-Gilbert papers quoted in my last pretty much confirm that this James was the man buried at Towednack November 20th 1760 (as recorded in Hoblyn). It will be his widow Mary who was mentioned soon after in those same documents. But I have not yet determined when, or where, Mary died. She was mentioned in the Will of her mother Mary Tyacke (dated 1746 and proved 1752) and now I need to pursue further information to 'nail her down'!

Thank you! This James was so far off the beaten path from our line, that I guess I never pursued it further. I just now looked at Rick's Towednack burials page for 1760, and sure enough - there he is! Another unknown filled in....

I see that Mary Tyack was chr. at Towednack on 22 Nov. 1702. Now, the million dollar question is: was this Charles Tyack the son of Dwens Hampton Tyack? I am going to make a copy of this over at the Hampton Board - if you have any answers, please post there...

Before you get too hasty there is something you may need to check on! Yes Mary Tyack was baptised at Towednack on the date you mention - BUT - if you check the Towednack information closely, you find that she was BURIED at Towednack April 9th, 1705! But there is light at the end of the tunnel - it appears there was another Mary born probably about 1707 (black hole) and this is the one who married James Trewhela. From what I have been able to work out over the years I can say that YES - Mary's father Charles was the son of William TYACK and DUENS (nee HAMPTON). ;D Will place a note on the Hampton Board to reflect back to here.
