G'day folks, I'm back after being away a while - gardening. I'm looking for sailing details of Andrew Dunstan Quick's return to England from Canada in late 1919 , via Liverpool, destination Canon's Town/Penzance, Cornwall. He was born 15 Nov 1883. He returned to Canada in 1920, sailing 24 June from Southampton to New York on the SS Olympic. Isambard

Andrew D Quick age 36 arrived Liverpool 29th December 1919 aboard the "Cedric" (White Star Line) - departed New York.

He also returned to the UK in 1948 Port of departure Montreal, arrived Liverpool 5 December on the Empress of Canada of the Canadian Pacific line. Age 65, occupation farmer, resident of Canada. Address whilst in the UK c/o H R REYNOLDS, Canons Town, Hayle Cornwall. Phillipa C aged 58, Housewife and Mary Gwen, Bank Clerk aged 24 also on voyage with him. If you pm me with your email address I can send you a copy of the passenger list for this voyage and the one of 1919. Best regards HeatherC

In case you wish to "beef out" your family history, there are generally photos of these ships on the internet. My Father emigrated to Canada in 1929 but was sent back after 6 months as he had a thumb amputated before he went and it became infected whilst he was in Canada. Canadian Pacific were kind enough to send me large photos of both ships he sailed on. Roy
