Richard Henry Beare born 1865 married Mary Elizabeth Jenkin in 1891 at Beaconsfield,Tasmania and their children were Alfred Henry 1893, William Robert 1894 and Annie 1899 all born Zeehan.
It is possible that Richard is a brother to the Beare's that lived in Marazion,Cornwall. I would like to find a death of Richard because it may be possible that his parents name will be mentioned. Would his parents names be on a marriage certificate?
I am almost sure that George, a brother to Richard lived in Rockhampton, Queensland and I have had information about him.

Hi Genie - Unfortunately Tasmania does not seem to be in line with most of the other States when it comes to BMD Indexes.
There is an online index available for BDMs up until 1899 and a search for Richard shows exactly the information you have and no more.
I don't think the marriage certificate would be much help to you either.
I have a Marriage Certificate for a marriage in Tasmania in 1884 and there is no provision on it for the recording of parents names.
A Full Death Certificate would give that information - IF it were known by the Informant but that is a gamble.
However, presuming Richard Henry BEARE was born ini Cornwall then try this:-
Gulval PR Transcripts - Baptisms
1863 25 Feb William James c/o James (Labourer) & Anne Beare of Punjoe private baptism 2 May Christiana c/o James (Labourer) & Anne Beare of Punjoe 2 May Sarah Ann c/o James (Labourer) & Anne Beare of Punjoe
1864 18 Oct Richard Henry c/o James (Labourer) & Ann Beare of Punjoe private baptism
1867 18 Dec Marianne c/o James (Labourer) & Anne Beare of Penzance
1871 Census - Marazion
James BEAR, head, mar., 37, agricultural labourer, Ludgvan Hannah do., wife, mar., 34, Camborne Amelia J do., daur., 14, scholar, Ludgvan Christiana do., daur., 11, scholar, Ludgvan Sarah A F do., daur., 10, scholar, Ludgvan William J do., son, 8, scholar, Ludgvan Richard H do., son, 6, scholar, Ludgvan Mary H do., daur., 4, scholar, Ludgvan George do., son, 1, Marazion
This may be the marriage from FreeBMD:-
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marriages Dec 1857 (>99%) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bear James Penzance 5c 532 Carter Hannah Penzance 5c 532 Hosking Mary Penzance 5c 532 Penberthy James Penzance 5c 532
I think that should answer much of your question!
Strange - I cannot find a record of Richard's birth in FreeBMD! (I have seen that problem before though with a Christopher Trewhella for whom I also found a baptism.)
I'm also not sure where the marriage took place but I cannot find it (at least so far).
It certainly did not happen at Gulval and I do not have records for Ludgvan and it was also not at Camborne.
Anyway - hope this helps. It certainly shows a Richard Henry as a brother to a George BEARE so that's has to be a positive.
Hi Genie, I gather then that the information was correct and was the result you were looking for?
Now this William James Beare in Australia - do you know where he was or anything else about him?
I can try and find more if I have an idea where he may have been.
Thanks Cornish Terrier.
Someone found this information about William James Beare but at the moment I have no proof that he is the one that I am looking for.
William James Beare in the 1930 Vic electoral roll. He is a Labourer at Kyneton and 1936 he is in Melbourne with a Martha and Kathleen at the same address and she found that a Richard Beare arrived in Sep 1882 a miner aged 18, boarded at Plymouth .contracted to disembark in Sydney but she told me that the passenger list is on the Mariners Australian Waters site but she couldn't see him and that he may have got off at Melbourne.

Kyneton - that is where I was born!
Genie - this will be your Richard BEARE but I am not sure why he is on the list twice and on two separate pages. Would probably need to see the original list for that.

I cannot find William entering Victoria.
Now I believe your family from the 1930 Electoral Roll will be the following:-
George Thomas BEARE married Martha MURRAY IN 1904 (Reg. No. 7101)
George was born at Lauriston which is only a few miles from Kyneton.
George and Martha had the following children:-
They had 12 children born in Victoria.
So there is the rundown on the family from the 1930 Electoral Roll.
There were not a lot of the family here in Victoria but I will give you a breakdown and can follow up on more later if you wish.
These will be the total number of entries for combined Birth, Death and Marriage events.
Thanks once again for that information. The George Thomas Beare that you have mentioned isn't mine.
On Ancestry someone has my Beare family and she has George Beare born Marazion 29th Jan 1869 died 25th June 1946 at Rockhampton and his father was James Beare. George married Eliza Dobbs and had two children. George had a cousin Stephen Beare who also emigrated to Australia and I have information about him.
This is proving to be difficult but no more than I would expect looking for the Beare family.
Cornish Terrier quote There was a JAMES WILLIAM BEAR son of James and Ann died at Sydney in 1938 (Reg. No. 79) unquote
The person who helped to look up the Beare family in Australia found this; George Beare's death and his parents names were given as James Beare and Hannah Lloyd, he died 23 June 1946, ref 003962.
As you will see the mother is Hannah Lloyd.
George's mother was Hannah Carter but her mother was a Floyd and I wonder if it was a mistake by whoever registered George's death. Therefore it is quite possible that James William's mother's name was Ann
I will have to print the information from you and take a good look at it.
Since my last post about Richard Henry Beare I have been given information about his family as well as wills and a death notice but a marriage for his daughter Annie who was born in 1899 at Zeehan,Tasmania eludes me. Richard died on the 16th November 1936 at Hobart and I wonder if it is possible to get a death certificate and would it be worthwhile because I would like to know where he was born. Do they have transcriptions agents who will help? I have added him to my tree but would like to be sure that he is the correct one.
