Hello All Thought I would pass on another link - Internet Bandsman's Everything Within www.ibew.co.uk/They have a section on "Cornwall's Brass Bands" and "Service and Volunteer Bands" (access through the heading "Reference" and use the drop-down list, "Historical", "Cornish Brass Bands") There's historical information (and sometimes names) for the following bands Under the "Brass Bands" heading Drift Band (Penwith) Foundry Band (Penwith) Forest Gate Brass Band (connected to Illogen) Godolphin Teetotal Band (Penwith) Lelant Downs Brass Band Ludgvan Band Lelant Brass Band Madron British Legion Band and still to come - Morvah Band, Newlyn Band, Paul Brass Band, St Buryan Independant Brass Band, St Erth Independant Brass Band, St Ives Town Band, St Just Old Town Band, St Just Boys Silver Band and Towednack Band. Under the heading "Service and Volunteer Bands"Camborne - in the information on this band it states "Whilst under the bandmastership of William UREN in 1896, the whole band, including the conductor, were dismissed the service for disobeying orders issued by the Commanding Officer for the second time.
