I was disappointed to get an email announcing the closure of the FamilyHistoryOnline website (run by the Federation of Family History Societies) and the transfer of some of its databases to FindMyPast. I found it sometimes useful to fill in gaps in the IGI for Cornish baptisms and marriages and the burials index and monumental inscriptions index provided information not readily available in one place online. I've exhausted all my credit on my account, but if anyone has vouchers or credit for FamilyHistoryOnline I understand they can be transferred to FindMyPast.
I do hope that all Cornish databases (produced by Cornwall Family History Society) on FamilyHistoryOnline will get transferred to FindMyPast, and that a 'pay per view' service will continue to be provided at reasonable cost.

I am quite saddened by this news, but thank you for letting us know. I think my credit on the site is used up also, but I will check. I have never found the FindMyPast site very user friendly unfortunately. I sincerely hope that the information currently on the FHO website will be transferred to FindMyPast, as I too have found it very useful in the past. Let us hope also that the pay per view cost is equally as reasonable as it is at present.
