Not sure - but if you check the Online Parish Clerk site you may find something. I know there are similar documents listed for other Parishes so it is worth a look. www.cornwall-opc.org/Good luck!

B-b-b-b-last! - I do believe you are right but I had not thought about them for a long, long time. Now I just have to remember which book they are in and just where that book is. But please confirm the information I sent was from the Lelant Muster Roll and not the Protestation Returns. I know I do have some Muster Roll stuff here - "somewhere" but, as mentioned above, I need to find it. Right now I am checking out the OPC site for you and have also found some possible leads regarding Passenger Arrivals in Australia so will have a quick look to see if I can find a Jane Hampton who might 'fit the bill'. Further notes will follow as I find stuff.

You Lucky Person You! ;D (Me Unlucky Person Me! ) Thanks to my phone call to NRT I solved the problem of the Lelant Muster. Nancy reminded me that I had photographed the document back in 1994 when I was at the CRO. (No wonder I could not find it!) I believe it should be the document labelled:- THE TINNERS MUSTER ROLL SP1/234 I photographed at least some of Penwith Hundred which does include - "EWNY JUXTA LANANT PARISH (Lelant)" But we do have another problem. At the time I did this work I was looking mainly for the name of Trewhella (var.) I got Lelant because it was just after 'ST ERCE' (St Erth) on the page (p.142) so I cannot say I have the 'complete' Muster Roll for Lelant. Also, a quick look through what I have shows no Edwards or Hamptons I DO HAVE the list from the 1545 Subsidy for Lelant which shows 15 names of whom none are Edwards or Hampton. Unless I have something else written down somewhere, that is the best I can do for the moment.

Please post me a copy of the information I sent to you 'all that time ago' as it might give me a further hint of where to look for any other information I might have hidden away somewhere.
