I am not sure where your information comes from but I do think you have things a little mixed up. In the first place you have Lewis Hodge dying in 1843 when in fact he died in 1848 and was buried at St Ives 20th September of that year age 75. In the 1841 Census Lewis was recorded as age 65 whilst wife Jane was age 70. The ages of adults were only required to be rounded down to the nearest five years so the Census information suggests Lewis was born somewhere around 1771-1776 whilst Jane was born around 1766-1771. The details I have for them are as follows:- Lewis son of Christopher Hodge and Mary (nee Noble) was baptised at St Ives 2nd May 1773 and (as above) buried 20th September 1748 at St Ives age 75. Jane Michell was baptised at Zennor 6th May 1770 (privately) daughter of Matthew Michell and his first wife Catherine Stevens. Jane Hodge (nee Michell) was buried at St Ives 14th April 1843 age 74.
