Hi All, stumbled across this amazing website whilst googling my Curnow ancestry!
My Curnows originated in Towednack, one of them married a Laity from Porthleven and they settled in Flushing round about 1900, going on to have my maternal Grandfather William Albert Curnow (1907 - 1974) who settled in Truro.
I started to research my ancestors about 10 years ago, and was addicted to my new hobby for around 3 years! Since then all my family tree folders have been stored away gathering dust!
Have decided to take it up again and have spent all evening visiting all the old sites where I used to play!
I hope this thread is in the correct place on the boards (think maybe it should be on the introduction of new members one)
Looking forward to digging up all my old stuff, talking to other members on here, and getting back into relly hunting once again!
Regards Kim

Hello Kim and Welcome to Penwith Genealogy. This area of the forum is not a bad place to start and you have told us where your interest lie which enables me to direct you to the appropriate area to continue. If you scan down the Home Page you will see an area for 'Surnames of General Interest' under which you will find a place for CURNOW. You may find an existing thread under the Curnow section but it may be best if you were to create a new thread and start a fresh discussion. Sue and I have been working on the Curnows for quite some time now so I already have the outline of your family in my own database. We do have a few questions of our own so I will certainly be looking forward to your initial post and then to some discussion with you about your ancestors. CT
