I have been researching ARGALL, originally from Madron, since 1972. In doing so, I have amassed a database of over 11,000 persons, who mainly all come from Cornwall and especially the Penwith area. There are many links to Penwith families and the details are included on my website: www.argallfamilyworldwide.com. If you have links to ARGALL or other common Penwith families, please look at the website; I substatiate my findings and relationships with sources, so you may well find some help in your own researches. As always, the further back in time I go, especially in the 16th century, some records are very limited, so findings will be based upon very limited evidence. Greetings, Ian,
I've encountered your website a few times while searching online -- very wonderful. I am a descendent of William Sampson whose sister, Elizabeth, married William Argall. My great-great-great-grandparents were Josiah Sampson and Amelia Williams, whose granddaughter Ida, also known as Edith, married a man named John Bess in Michigan. Their daughter, Lottie Viola, married Russell Thomas Argall. I have been busy trying to piece all of that together!
Glad to see you have joined the board.
