Hello, I am looking for more information regarding my ancestor, William Hodges. I believe he was a farmer and scripture reader. Ancestry.com lists his spouse as Alice Seabury and he died in 1848. He had a son named Thomas Hodges who was born in 1841. I believe he may have resided in West Cork, Ireland. Possibly in the civil parish of Kilnamanagh. He is referenced in this post: azazella.proboards.com/post/6641/threadAny further details or information is greatly appreciated. Thank-you, Joseph Hodges

Ah! so this is the man you referred to you your PM. I'm afraid I know nothing more about him than what you seen in the information you have quoted and my own interest was purely in Richard Trewhela. It has been difficult to find more information on Richard but you might find the following link of interest. I cannot guarantee anything but at the moment I would suggest this might be your best avenue of finding something. www.bhs.ie/The Beara Peninsula was the area the Cornish miners were attracted to at the time.
