Hello Bonzi and Welcome to Penwith Genealogy. Online Family Trees is probably the very WORST place to start for anyone new to genealogy. Where there are several trees with the same information you will generally find that one person has put their tree online initially and most of the rest have simply copied the information. More often than not I have found that those doing the copying have not bothered to check any information for themselves. If you are stuck for information then sometimes those trees might provide a clue that will help find answers but otherwise BEWARE! The aim of this forum is to help people like yourself through the maze and point you in the right direction with the various records available. Always more satisfying if you can find information for yourself but we do also try to give some 'hands on' help. The best thing for you to do is to spend a little time getting yourself organised. If you have traced your husband's family back a little then you should have a point in time (or an event) where you are satisfied all the information is correct. It may be the identity of great-grandparents for example. Whatever that point is then that is the place we should begin but hopefully it will be no later than the 1911 Census. If you can trace the line back as far as the 1881 Census or before that will be really helpful. So gather as much information as you have about a known ancestor who might hopefully be found in the UK Census. Any details you know about the husband and wife as well as the names of children and some details about time and place of birth will also be very helpful. If the family left England then any information you have of when they left and where they went will help confirm other information. Once you have something for us to work with then create a new Thread in the QUERIES section. If you know the family was in a specific Parish for a longn period then post your query in a new Thread in the Parishes section. I will keep an eye out for your post and will start looking at the problem for you. CT
